Carlos Antequera

Founder & CEO

Carlos Antequera is Chief Corporate Development and Strategy Officer of PeopleAdmin - the leader in cloud-based talent management solutions for education and government. In his role he is responsible for providing strategic leadership, key growth initiatives and developing new business opportunities. Carlos joined PeopleAdmin in 2015 as part of the sale of the company he co-founded, Netchemia, where he was the CEO for 14 years.

Netchemia was dedicated to transform the way K-12 education manages its talent. Today Netchemia’s TalentEd cloud-software platform allows over 2500 school districts across the country to automate the recruiting, hiring and evaluations of teachers and staff so that administrators can focus on strategic management of their talent instead of having to deal with paper.

Under Mr. Antequera’s leadership, Netchemia grew from an idea into one of the leading technology companies in K-12 education. Netchemia has received many accolades including recently being named as one of Kansas City’s fastest growing companies by the Business Journal, named as one of the top 10 small business in 2013 by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and selected multiple times by Ingram’s Magazine as one of KCs “Best Companies to Work For”

Carlos graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He completed his MBA in International Business at the University of Kansas. He served as an Executive Board Member of the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, was accepted into the prestigious Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program and has also been selected as a KTEC Pipeline Innovator, part of a program that fosters high-growth technology entrepreneurial talent in the Midwest.

Mr. Antequera is originally from Bolivia, South America, but has resided in the US since college and currently calls Shawnee, Kansas his home.  In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing soccer and experimenting with tasty recipes that he can share with friends and family.
